I have found the biggest challenges for most people are figuring out how to incorporate healthy living into an already busy schedule followed by fear and doubt they can do it.
I get it! I know what it’s like to have weight to lose, to feel overwhelmed and to feel discouraged when you don’t see the results you want as fast as you want. I know what it’s like to feel stressed out and impulsively turn to sugary foods out of habit.
It’s the journey not the destination
I also know what it’s like to ‘fall off the wagon.’ It’s called ‘being human’ not a matter of lacking willpower. If this has happened to you, I encourage you to show yourself some compassion, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again. Each day offers a lesson even if it is that today is another day and an opportunity to be better.
Your feet and your fork determine your destiny!
I believe food and fitness are medicine. In the words of Dr. David Katz, DNA is not our destiny. To a degree dinner is. Not dying is not the same as living. What you do with your feet (in other words, physical activity) and your fork (the foods you eat) are your destiny.
I love working with people who accomplish their goal(s) simply by taking the first step of many and deciding to ‘do!’ Like Yoda said, “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” You provide the desire to change; I provide the direction, inspiration and support to help you along your path to wellness.
